To begin our blog, we thought it would be meaningful to share the story of how Ethelmc came to be. It’s a story that’s deeply woven into everything we’ve built, and it all started with a simple idea: a home built on kindness, trust, and community. I’m Sera, and this is how it all began.
From Player to Community Builder: A Journey of Connection and Kindness
When I first joined a Minecraft server, I was searching for more than just a game. I was looking for a connection—a place where I could feel at home, be seen, and be heard. I wanted to make a difference, offering kindness and help wherever I could. In a world that can often feel disconnected, I held onto the hope that true and meaningful friendships could still be found.
As with any new Minecraft journey, I started from the ground up. That’s part of the beauty of it—building something out of nothing. But as I navigated the server, I noticed something troubling: many players weren’t receiving the help they needed. They weren’t being heard or seen by the community. It broke my heart, and I knew I had to make a change.
Before I even built my own house, I spent my time moving from base to base, helping others with whatever they needed. I offered my support, trying to make the experience a little brighter for everyone I encountered. Eventually, I built a large house, but it wasn’t just for me. I divided it into smaller rooms, each equipped with a crafting table, furnace, bed, and chests. These were essentially apartments for new players who needed a place to stay. The only cost for living there? A simple favor in return: their kindness to others.
As time passed, my efforts became more known on the server. I started helping out larger teams and bigger groups, which is how I met someone truly special. He believed in my vision when it was still just a dream. Together, we began turning that dream into reality. Along the way, we met so many incredible people who still mean the world to me today.
From Newcomers to Family: The Heart of Infernobles and the Journey of EthelMC
As our vision grew, so did our community. We started making deals, trades, and opening shops, trying to spread the message that there was hope and that there was a place like home, right here. This is how we met Qmir, our developer. Calling him a "genius" doesn’t do him justice; Qmir is the heart of innovation within Infernobles. Every idea, every vision we had, he brought to life with such creativity and passion that it felt like magic. He is kind, selfless, and truly one of the most important people in my life. He has been a cornerstone of both Infernobles and Ethelmc, making them feel like home—not just for me, but for the entire community. His unwavering support has been invaluable.
Then, there was Gabe. He joined us as a new player, seeking the same things we had once searched for: connection, purpose, and a place to belong. Gabe’s dedication and kindness quickly made him stand out. He went from being a curious newcomer to becoming our right hand—someone we could always rely on. Gabe didn’t just contribute to Infernobles; he became an integral part of its heart and soul. His journey from new player to leader is a testament to the power of community and the bonds we built here.
Along the way, many other important people joined us, each bringing their own unique energy and talents to Infernobles. They helped shape the town, and their presence made it even more special. These friends became family, and their impact on our world was immeasurable. As we continue to grow and build with Ethelmc, we hope to see these familiar faces return, ready to share in the next chapter of our story. And so, we built Infernobles.
Infernobles: Crafting a City Built on Kindness and Community
The name held deep meaning for all of us: Inferno—symbolizing the burning fire within us to change the world with kindness, and Nobles—representing acts of selflessness, compassion, and the purity of our hearts. Infernobles became home—both for us and for the community that grew around it.
We built a town hall, community farms, and countless structures, each with a specific purpose. Need a Nether portal? We built one. A brewing room? Done. An enchanting table? It had its own dedicated space. As word spread, we started welcoming residents—new players who, like us, wanted to be seen, heard, and feel at home. We gave them space to build and grow, and they stayed. Many brought their friends and even their families along, expanding our community further.
As our community grew, we introduced a special rule to keep things close-knit: the CCR—a Community Chest Room for the whole town. Yes, the whole town, which eventually grew to around 60 people. Each player had their own house and their own life in town, which eventually became known as "The City of Infernobles." The moment someone mentioned that name, everyone knew exactly who they were talking about.
Our slogan became our mission: A community based on kindness and trust. Of course, as our community grew, so did the requests. And we listened. "Can we have PvP tournaments?"—Of course! We built an arena, complete with PvP armor and a place for the crowd to watch. We hosted events and awarded prizes to the winners. "What about a graveyard?"—Certainly. We built one, complete with a community flower chest and benches so players could mourn in peace. "I lost my horse!"—No problem, we put up signs to help look for it. "Can I take out a loan? Send mail?"—Sure! We built a bank and a post office. "I have some items to sell. Can we use them for the community?"—Amazing! We built a whole market where each 'Noble' could have their own shop.
We listened. We saw. We understood. This is how Infernobles came to be. It was the foundation of another dream, another wish—the creation of Ethelmc. And it all started with the simple idea of kindness and community, growing into something far bigger than any of us could have imagined.
